Wino Weekend At Boston Winery 🍷

It’s no secret, I love a healthy glass of red wine.

One of my close family friends knew about my love for wine and of experience. For my graduation she gifted me a trip to their location for a wine tasting.  Our weekend adventure took us to Boston Winery just outside of Dorchester, MA. Their quaint facility is just off the water which makes for some beautiful views. The inside is rustic and modern with a few rooms for entertaining.

First off, I LOVE their logo. The cursive is just a classy letter, but I’m a bit biased.

About The Wine

The tasting is only $10 which provides you with three samples of red, white, or sparkling wine. The samples are perfectly poured and each wine was explained to us as it was offered. The staff was very professional and knew the answer to every question we asked. Of the wines offered, we went strictly with red since that is my mom and I’s preference. We tried the Black Dog Cabernet, Boston Winery Pinot Noir, and Boston Winery Petite Sirah.

All three of these were made with grapes sourced from California. Boston Winery also makes wine with grapes from Italy, Chile, and Africa. They have expanded their reach quite a bit! I love trying new wines with grapes from other countries, so I brought a few home to enjoy with dinner.

I love the location for functions and events. The room you walk into is great for having cocktail receptions and bachelorette parties. In fact, there must have been three or four bachelorettes when we were there. The back room was being set up for a wedding later in the evening. There is a small outdoor seating area for when it’s nice out (which it was today) and they came around and offered us taster’s pizza.

Our reservation was for 1:00, but we didn’t take the full tour of the back room until around 2:00. They did a wonderful job explaining the fermentation process and made the experience a fun one! Because it is a smaller facility, this took about 30-45 minutes to go through completely. We found out you can make your own wine and ferment it through their membership program which is pretty neat.

I definitely recommend heading in to check them out when you have an open weekend and are looking for something to do. The restaurant across the way is supposed to be great so you really can make a full day out of it! There is a smaller dock too for when you’re looking to pull your boat up sometime.

You can find out more about them by looking on their site: bostonwinery.net
