Flirty Fridays From The Garage

It can be tough to dress when it’s between seasons. On some days you don’t know if it’s going to be 60 degrees or 90! This is where layers come into play. Wearing light layers with an option for if it gets hot is crucial to your comfort for the rest of the day.

This also goes for if you’re in changing temperatures throughout the day like yours truly. NONE of my classes are the same temperature, so I need to be prepared for whatever they decide to throw at me for the day.

Whether it’s the office, at home, or in the mall, I know you know what I’m talking about

Today, I am wearing one of the most basic ensembles yet. A light pink bodysuit, ripped blue jeans, black heels, and a pink flannel to throw on for if… OK, when I get cold. This outfit is the perfect casual yet flirty choice for your Friday afternoon. Obviously it can be worn around campus and look fantastic without having to be ‘all dressed up’.

Going out later? This casual outfit can be dressed up by adding a bolder lip color, darker eye makeup (check out this smokey eye), a leather jacket and extra accessories. It’s easy to dress up this outfit because it’s so simple to begin with. Like painting on a blank canvas, you can mix up any combinations that you want!

Top: Garage | Jeans: American Eagle Super Stretch Skinny (Similar Here) | Flannel: Charlotte Russe  – PLUS only left (Similar Here)

This is the perfect outfit to transition day to night. It is simple, comfortable, and has a nice feminine flare in the light pink color.

These are my favorite dark-wash ripped jeans! Unfortunately, AE doesn’t have the exact same pair this season, but they have similar ones that I have attached the link to above. I got a small in the bodysuit and it was the perfect size choice. Garage also had this available in purple and black in stores. The black is sold out or I would definitely go back and get it seeing how much I love this one. It looks and feels great. They are now ON SALE for only $15 which is a 50% price cut, so get one while you can!

The flannel is a very lightweight which makes it perfect for the chilly air we are experiencing between seasons. It is much thinner than most of the flannels I’ve seen and is super comfortable. You won’t even notice it tied around your waist after a little while of wearing it. I don’t normally like to button up my flannels, so when I have it on it is open. Today ended up being pretty warm so I kept it tied around my waist and only threw it on when it got cool in the classroom.

Lipstick: NARS Satin Lip Pencil in Rose Pink | Watch: Anne Klein (Similar Here) | Sunglasses: Steve Madden (Similar Here) | Clutch: Coach

I just purchased this Anne Klein watch at Nordstrom Rack this week. It is a simple black watch that goes with most outfits well. I paired it with my Coach wristlet because of the black and white print! This gives the outfit just a hint more character. As usual, I threw on several matching bangles and my pink pearls from Macy’s.

For makeup today I focused on a pink and beige subtle smokey eye. As you can see, it is a bit lighter than my usual shades. I wanted to keep it casual for school – more of an “everyday” or “natural” look. I will be darkening it for my evening activities along with the lipstick color which I will make a much bolder pink.
