With the summer in full swing, I have been spending my days (outside of work) in athleisure inspired outfits. It is no secret… sporting an outfit like this is comfortable, simple, and stylish. You can spend the day out and then be more than ready to hit the gym later on.
Putting together these looks isn’t always easy, but they are doable. Black & white pieces are easy to mix and match (or throw together when you’re in a hurry). My new watch is pink so I went with my favorite Lilybod leggings and Foster and Grant shades to pick up the color. I wish I had a pair of pink or white-out kicks to pair this outfit with, but they’re on my wish list for future purchases.
Athleisure With Casio Baby-G
This adidas track jacket is a true classic. I have had it for years and it has yet to fade in the slightest. I will hold on to it as long as I can! adidas is truly the best brand for track jackets, but I believe every brand has their strong-suit. The great part about this jacket is how it goes with legitimately everything. It is simple, yet bold and (to most of the population) extremely recognizable. adidas style can really make you stand out! You can purchase a newer version of this style on their website for less than $100.
Lilybod leggings are a perfect fit. They stay on tight, fall in just the right places (ankles and hips), and they don’t stretch out during the day. I run around in these for hours and don’t have to worry about constantly pulling them up when they start to loosen. You may recognize this style from my Track Style blog! I was so excited to try these out and have been looking forward to adding more design options to my wardrobe.
My sneaker collection constantly grows. I have so many pairs in almost every color of the rainbow. Black matches everything and never looks dirty (a must). so I have about three pairs now. New Balance has a great collection of simple sneakers and they have a wide variety of colors. I also have these ones in gray. The color options change every so often, but the quality and comfort fit stays the same!
These shades are bigger than I am used to but I LOVE them. Foster Grant sent them to me right before summer started and I have been wearing them multiple times a week with all different outfits. People are always complimenting them and asking where they’re from. The best part? They are affordable and well made which is not the easiest combination to find. These are sold out, but I highly recommend browsing through their other styles.
What’s better to complete the athleisure look than a big, bouncy, high pony? Even though the style looks effortless, it requires lots of hair spray and patience. Personally, I love to add a hair extension to make the ponytail even more full. You can get them on Amazon or at your local beauty store. The Big Sexy Hair Spray is my current favorite, but I am looking into trying some new brands.
