Flirty Fridays With Fido

I was feeling some type of way this morning, so decided to put on something a little more feisty. Yes, this adorable army mini skirt was my first and final choice. I knew exactly where I was going with this outfit and am more than happy with the result!

First, I would like to introduce my fellow soldier Archie Palumbo. He’s a little fighter (JK he’s a total ball of love) who wriggled his way into my photos. Archie is always willing to take photos with me if lots of treats and belly rubs are involved. You will probably see him in several series of photos as he is one of my favorite “props” HA.

Now to the good stuff…

Army Print

I love wearing camo because there are so many variations in color and print depending on the product. It can be paired with simple accessories and mainly neutral colors. Camouflage is great to wear in the fall because of the brown and green shades. Plus it looks super cute with a sexy pair of boots for your night out.

Top: Rue 21 | Booties: Charlotte Russe (Similar Here) |  Earrings: Claire’s | Eyeshadow: Tarte (Also love this for neutral tones) | Lipstick: Milani Color Statement Lipstick in Cinnamon Spice

This swingy top is super comfortable and breathable in this hot end-of-summer air. The lace detail in the shoulders gives it a little character and (of course) the flirty laces right in front. The V-Neck is just long enough to show JUST enough and not too much.  I just purchased this top from the mall last week and will be looking for more like it. I love the lace-up front and metal eye-holes for the laces. I might consider changing the laces to something a bit more unique.

As you may have read in my previous blog post, I love wearing denim all year long but especially in the fall. I found this camo mini skirt at a local vintage, second-hand store. It is super cute and has the right about of flare. The front is a bit longer than the back which is one of the features I like about it. The pattern is different because it has bigger spots than most of the army camo I’ve seen. I do prefer the gray tones this print has in it compared to some that are more green.

THESE BOOTIES! They have a comfortable boot and heel. The height is just right for wearing around classes (or the mall). They are a light gray/taupe blend with light fringe on the heel and a small buckle that matches the eye-holes in the top. They come just above the ankle bone and are the perfect width, so my feet don’t look lost (I have this problem a lot with boots and booties). I just ordered three more pairs of booties and am WAY excited to get the packages later this week.

Archie wanted to wear the skirt today, but it was a bit too small for his sausage waist!

Accessorizing can be fun with an outfit like this because it’s relatively simple. I didn’t wear a watch today, so I doubled up on the bracelets. A necklace wasn’t necessary because of the neckline, so I wore a tear drop earring with brown beads instead. I love gold with the brown and green, so I wore lots of bangles and gold rings.

I tried my hand at a brown and green smokey eye today instead of sticking to the general browns I usually use. The green definitely made a big difference for the look and to bring out the color of my eyes (dark, dark brown). I used a dark green eyeliner on the waterline and white in the corners. This lipstick is perfect for fall!

This is a great look for your #flirtyfriday activities!

How do you like to style camouflage?
