New England is known for it’s beautiful scenery; especially when you hit the trail for a hike through the wilderness. Taking the time to let off some steam on the trails is an effective way of reducing built up stress from the long day before. If you are not familiar, there are companies that make their products tailored to those individuals who love to spend their time in the great outdoors. Paul and I enjoy hitting the nature trails during the summertime, but we have never been considered “serious hikers.” However, we have been considering taking the sport more seriously in 2017.
I was very excited when Fjällräven invited me to their grand opening event in Cambridge, MA. They are having a whole weekend full of activities that includes giveaways for their first customers. The store will be open from 10AM-8PM for shoppers. Check out the opening weekend agenda below:
The store is located at 63 Church Street in Cambridge’s Harvard Square. It is just off the main road and was a minute walk from the Harvard Square train stop (on the red line). The ride wasn’t long and is super convenient. If you go in on the weekend you can find a days worth of activities. Harvard Square is full of stores and restaurants to explore! Fjällräven is a perfect addition to the neighborhood.
On Thursday, March 24, Fjällräven hosted a VIP event where attendees were invited to get an exclusive first look at the store. It looks great! I love the rustic wooden design of the space. From the wood ceiling, to the floors, to the cool bark entry wall, Fjällräven knows how to decorate. The best part was easily the glorious Kanken backpack wall (shown below).

This back comes in so many different colors that it was so hard to choose just one. I like the navy and red because it will match a lot and is patriotic (I always go that route when I can’t decide). The event certainly created a buzz for all of us content creators. It gave us the opportunity to become familiar with the brand and meet some of the masterminds behind the location opening.
