Life Is Good

When you think about your day do you get stressed? Does your mind go in a million different directions and, to no avail, and bog you down even more? This happens to many of us; especially when balancing between work and home. Mental fatigue and nagging anxiety can make you feel so done. Not anymore. Today I will be sharing my tips on learning to let go and live a more care-free life because it’s something I’ve needed to do for a long time.

On Learning To Let Go

The first step in letting go is to acknowledge the things bothering you. What really makes you tick? What is it that has been holding you back from letting go? By identifying the root of your tension, you are allowing yourself the opportunity to let it go. Then think about why it prompts you and evaluate it’s importance. Chances are it’s really not worth all of the time you’re giving it. There is no sense in wasting precious time on things that aren’t benefiting you.

In the process of letting go, you will lose many things from the past, but you will find yourself.

~ Deepak Chopra

Understanding how you respond to negativity is important so that you can stop. Through trial and error I learned when I feel anger, irritation, stress, or other negative emotions coming on I have to find a positive response. For me that’s getting outside and taking a walk to clear my head or finding a quiet spot and letting my mind wander for a few moments. I have become more mindful and at ease with myself by allowing my mind to de-stress the right way.

Life Is Good

Sometimes you really need to talk it out. Call someone who is your “voice of reason” to ground you and paint the big picture. Having someone to talk to is often a beautiful way to let off some steam. What is most important with this tactic, however, is really letting go after you’ve had the conversation with them. You have to end that call with a clear head or you won’t be able to let go. Just remember that your time is precious and you decide how you will spend it.

The most important thing that I cannot stress enough is to forget about anyone and anything holding you back. If there is someone in your life who is surrounded by negativity you are best cutting off that relationship. Surrounding yourself with positive people and good vibes will allow you to let go much more easily. Forget about the silly grudges you’ve been holding on to for so long. There is no room for hate when you want to let go.

And lastly, take a deep breathe and learn to start appreciate everything and everyone who is around you. We are only put on this earth for so long which means we shouldn’t let the moments pass.
